Ok so I wasn’t going to post this today, to be honest I was going to calm down first and see if I still wanted to but this thing hasn’t left me yet. Why is it that the church is operating with no purpose and no vision? The modern day church is operating off of ideas. The reason that is problematic is an idea is just a thought that comes to you (whether to your heart, mind or spirit) which prompts you to have a desire to do something. The problem is that there maybe an idea but without a vision (the direction and instruction on when, where, and how to accomplish the idea) the idea can be all over the place. If there is no vision put to the idea, there winds up being no solidified purpose. Without a purpose the idea becomes tedious and laborsome and eventually unaccomplished.
What has gone on in the modern day church is we come up with a bunch of good ideas; talk about them, and without seeking God for clarity try to put them into action. Now when going up against the structured attack of Satan your fly-by night, off the cuff, half implemented idea gets taken apart quickly and systematically rendering it un-effective. People’s souls are at stake and are eventually lost because we have ideas and no vision to put with the idea. The word vision means sight or the power to see. What you are seeing with vision is the how to operate the idea. What you will need to make it successful. If you can’t see (have no vision) than you will put pieces in places they were never meant to be.
The bible proclaims that without a vision, the people perish. It’s also interesting to note that the bible also proclaims the people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge (Proverbs 29:18; Hosea 4:6). There is a direct correlation between having vision and having knowledge as well as the fate that comes for a not having it. When you have a vision God gives you the knowledge to operate it and understanding (in your getting get understanding Proverbs 4:7) to how to move in it. Having an idea is not enough. Having an idea wastes people’s time and energies. Souls are dying because we have no vision, we have no knowledge, and are gaining no understanding. If you have a ministry “idea” get a vision for it that you can be effective and make an impact in the earth. Stop having church just to have church if there is no vision and purpose in it. Yes we ought not to forsake the assembling of ourselves, but it isn’t to be our only measure. Jesus commanded us to go get them; he didn’t give the statement if you build it they will come. That’s from a movie not the bible. Having service doesn’t guarantee people will come and honestly having service with people in it doesn’t make it effective. If people walk out of service the same with no impact in their life being had then I’m sorry your service was in vain. You didn’t implement the vision. You operated an idea. I’m tired of ideas killing ministries and killing churches and more importantly killing people.
When is enough enough? When will be tired of church as usual, ministries doing the same ole same ole, and people left unchanged and unaffected. I implore you pastors and teachers, evangelists, prophets, and apostles get up off your lazy butts, get down on your knees and seek God for true live giving vision and the means to implement it. Lay people, stop being so dog gone content to say I go to church and don’t reach out to anyone and bring them with you. Stop being so stuck and happy with “I’m going to heaven and God knows I’m enjoying the trip” to realize your job is to go back into the hell fire fight and pull out someone else. We ought to operate like the military who have a credo “never leave a man behind”. Why don’t we think like that? Why are we so content to let others drown because we got out. I’m tired of this truly tired of this. It’s time for strategic action. Action against Satan that will bring his kingdom reign to an end. It’s time to stop walking and operating ideas. It’s time to walk and operate the vision that God will give you if you seek Him for it. Stop moving until you get a vision a true vision which will help direct your path to the end result God intended. The church needs vision not ideas. Now what are you going to do about it? Or are you like a lot of other “church folk” sitting content and ready for the enemy to take you apart because again without a vision the people perish and are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.
